About Miffy Hoad

I'm a wife, a mother and grandmother, a lover of the natural world and all things mystical and existential. My daily self care and spiritual practice has become ever more important to me and my wellbeing.

Becoming a naturalised citizen of Ireland in 2021 meant a lot to me as I consider myself Irish, despite being born in Wales.

My background is mainly in training development and evaluation with 25 years experience specialising in personal development, stress management and mindfulness.

We all experience some form of adversity in our lives and reframing trauma as things that have happened 'for' me rather than 'to' me has been a game changer. My own experience of physical & mental health challenges always informs my work. When I see people empowered through practices that promote wellbeing, resilience & hope, my passion is ignited.

I trained as a Life & Business Coach in 2007. In 2021, I completed an advanced diploma in Coaching for Mental Health & Wellbeing, establishing myself clearly in this niche of coaching.

For 15 years, I developed and delivered original programmes and classes on a freelance basis to groups and organisations in the community where I lived. I'm also a certified facilitator for Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training, Safe TALK, Stress Control, Understanding Self Harm and The Living Well Programme that I deliver on behalf of statutory organisations.

I have worked in mental health promotion roles in public service roles for ten years, four of those as a Social Prescriber with the Health Service Executive in Ireland and six years as a development officer with a leading charity, Mental Health Ireland. I maintained my coaching practice throughout as a 'side hustle'.

I transitioned from the 'security' of the well-paid, permanent, pensionable job and launched Daisy Coaching in Summer of 2024, providing my services to individuals and groups for personal growth, mental health & wellbeing.

My mission is to empower my clients through times of adversity and beyond by means of individual coaching, group live classes and a library of self-directed digital resources. These include video tutorials, guided mindfulness and meditation practices, downloadable worksheets, journaling prompts and mind set tools.

So if you are feeling stressed, stuck, depleted and burned out, or know you need to change direction in some way but don't know how to start, drop me a line and we can arrange a free discovery session to explore your next steps.

All the services I provide are offered to support, nurture and energise you as you navigate your way to flourishing wellbeing.
